About

SARMS Institute exists to answer one question honestly: what does the evidence actually show about selective androgen receptor modulators — and what does it not show?

What this is

A reference record. For each compound we track what has been studied in humans, what has only been studied in animals, what exists solely as case reports or anecdote, what regulators have said, and where it stands under anti-doping rules. Where the evidence is thin, the page says so. Where it is absent, the page says that too.

There is a great deal written about SARMs. Very little of it separates a phase II trial from a forum post. That separation is the entire product.

What this is not

  • Not a shop. We do not sell SARMs or any other compound, and we do not link to sellers.
  • Not medical advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to take anything. No SARM is approved for human use.
  • Not a dosing guide. We report doses that were actually administered in published studies, as a matter of record. We do not publish protocols framed as instructions.
  • Not neutral about risk. Where regulators have issued warnings or the literature records harm, that information appears above the discussion of benefits, not below it.

Who is behind it

The Institute is funded and owned by people with existing commercial interests in the wider supplement and performance industry. We think you should know that before you read a single evidence page, which is why it is stated here rather than buried. The specific relationships, and the firewall between them and what gets published, are set out in full on the disclosures page.

An independent reference funded by an interested party only works if the separation is real and visible. We would rather be judged on whether we maintain it than be trusted on assertion.

How to hold us to it

Read the editorial policy and the evidence methodology. If a page gets something wrong, tell us — every correction we make is logged publicly in the corrections log, including the ones that are embarrassing.

No SARM is approved for human use in any major jurisdiction. This reference is for education. It does not provide medical or legal advice.
